Hyperfest 2009 Drifting Coverage at Summit Point

Hyperfest is always a great time, I definitely look forward to it every year. This year I was a bit worried, mainly because there was a lot of rain that day.

Sure enough the sun came out and the Drifting went on, YAY!.  This is not the level of drifting most people are accustomed to seeing on their TV with the guys who have been racing for 25+ years, who have teams and sponsors paying their way through every set of tires and every broken bumper and quarter panel.  Instead these are people like you and me who spend their out of pocket fundage to cover their desire to go out on a track and kick the car sideways and hold it right on the edge of control.

While I love all forms of racging Drifting is definitely one of those that rates right at the top, beaten out only by road racging and open wheel racing.
