HyperFest 2009 at Summit Point Motorsport Park Part 1

This is the first part of the Hyperfest coverage we are proud to bring which was all done by staff photographer Kevin Choi who bravely fought the rain and kept his camera dry lol.

It really did rain for half of the day which almost dampened our spirits but as those who regularly follow this site know, if they race in the rain then we shoot in the rain. Sure it makes our jobs a bit harder but hey it is always worth it.

Kevin took the time to really focus in on the racing and drifting while at Summit Point's Hyperfest event so check out the gallery of over 100 photos of the cars sliding all over the track.  In a few locations there was a build up of standing water, mostly in the corners, which caused some very daring drivers to get a little more sideways than planned.  Several times in the practice rounds cars slid off course and on a few of those they ended in the wall.  Thankfully there was not any instance of one car getting into another that we saw.
