Grand AM Koni Series is by far one of the best to watch unfold. Today at NJMP in the Garden State 250 Grand Am Koni Race Spencer Pumpelly held out and passed Charles Espenlaub in the final minutes of the race to finish first in the two and a half hour race around New Jersey Motorsport Park's Thunderbolt Raceway. Taking his co-driver Duncan Ende and their Porsche 997 to the winners circle.
Even more amazing was the ST class where the entire podium was swept clean with black and orange jump suits as Skunk2/034 Motorsport team dominated the top three with their Honda Civic Sis for the teams first 1-2-3 finish.
While the race was great to watch unfold another amazing thing of note is that there were only two cautions both of which for stalled cars, with no major incidents the entire time.
Read More about the race at njmotorsportspark.com and grand-am.com and don't forget to watch the race for yourself May 9th on Speed Channel at noon ET.
