2009 New York Auto Show in Manhattan

Check out the photos from the 2009 New York Auto Show, including some of the features of SMS - Steve Saleen's new company - Lamborghini, Spyker and other top exotic and luxury brands.  Walking in the door is always one of the best parts as they sure know how to great a spectator.  This year just inside the glass revolving doors we found ourselves greeted by an amazing array of Spykers, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces and Aston Martins it almost made it hard to actually enter into the show itself.

The first cars we saw were the new offerings from Spyker, Lamborghini's new Gallardo Spyder, and Rolls Royce.

Just past that we get to drool over the new cars from Steve Saleen.  Now I have to say these are the most amazing Challengers I have ever seen, and packing between 550 and 700 horsepower well they definitely can back up the agressive styling.

With representatives from every major automotive manufacturer present you could get a very clear look at the future of each companies product line.  With the focus on alternative fuels a majority of the new concepts and feature cars boasted some form of hybrid technology including full plug in electric cars, electric - gas hybrid, flex fuel, clean diesel power.  Of these I still stand by the favorite as being the Fisker Karma, it is by far the most amazing and most developed hybrid car I have seen yet.

Overall for an automotive industry in peril seeking help from wherever they can find someone willing it is great to see they have not let the troubles sway their inginuity and creativity.
