Import vs. Domestic at Maryland International Raceway 2008

It’s the best damn time of the year, after stuffing in thanksgiving turkey and preparing for the holidays and New Year’s, the show season and race season begins to draw to a close and MIR decides to open its doors one more time for the granddaddy of all drag events for the year. It’s no surprise that when ECR made it to MIR for Imports vs. Domestics in Nov. 2008 we would encounter some of the fastest imports and domestics on the east coast.

There was nothing like the smell of exhaust fumes, gambling in the stands and mechanics tuning and prepping their cars for the 1320 at MIR. From street stock, to wild 8 shootouts, to 8-sec. K20 swapped Civic hatchbacks, to a 13-sec. stock E55 AMG Benz(WHAT!!!!!), to Teamsolo and there booth of awesome show cars, to Springfield Motorsports and there awesome display of Mustangs that we have grown accustomed to. Photos and video couldn’t surpass the experience of being at Imports vs. Domestics live, but Matt once again proves the impossible with his photos. Thanks in part goes to Springfield Motorsports for allowing ECR to show there project cars in there booth, Rick and Alex are the best.
